Midland's Baby Boom and a Public Commendation for my Wife

At Midland Bible Church, there is a Sunday School dedicated solely to Young Marrieds. In the last few months, there have been 6 babies born to couples in this group. There is at least one more I know is due in less than a month, and it would not surprise me at all if I am forgetting some. This is amazing because when Christin and I moved here 5 years ago, the young married group consisted of 3 couples that I can remember. Now it is 20+ and we have 3 small groups dedicated to just young marrieds. We have been to the hospital a lot lately and Christin has been enjoying helping out the new moms.

On that note, I would like to brag on her for a minute. More than a year ago she began telling me about a vision she had for a new ministry. She wanted to start a mom's group specifically targeting new moms. Her vision was that this would be a place where they could share any issues or concerns and also a place where older, experienced moms could come in and answer questions once a month. Well Christin's mom group has been going strong for a few months now and I personally think it is a great success. She has had a handful of older moms come in for Q and A sessions and those have been really valuable. They meet every other Sunday night and there are usually anywhere from 5-10 moms there. It's just fun for me to see a great idea followed through and become a real benefit for the community. This group grew out of Christin's heart to minister to fellow new moms and I am spiritually encouraged by its success.
