Easter 2008

Well another west Texas spring threatened to ruin our Easter egg hunt with they boys, but in the end we pushed through. After weeks of great weather, the forecast for Easter Sunday was 45 and raining. However, once we unleashed the children in a yard full of candy filled eggs, all thoughts of cold were banished in excitement. Some of our close friends who happen to have a huge yard hosted this year's festivities which included about 10 kids from 8 down to 1 years old and 3 dogs. The boys ran feverishly from egg to egg barely stopping to admire or inspect their recent acquisitions. Pretty soon, they looked down to find their baskets to be quite full which could only mean that it was time to start chowing down. So starting on Sunday and continuing throughout this week, there have been nearly unending requests for more candy. Graciously, someone filled some eggs with some candy that Mom and Dad happened to really like so we have had something for the sweet tooth all week. All in all it's just hard to beat a yard full of happy kids and mouth full of jelly beans.
