Here is a short slide show about our Dallas trip. Christin ran the half marathon at the Dallas White Rock marathon the weekend of December 8th. Me and the boys went along as well as moral support. However, we weren't alone. There were many friends from Midland in Dallas to run as well and we were there for a good cause. We were running for our friends Reagan and Katie Butts son Will who was a featured patient of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Many of the proceeds of this huge race go to benefit this great hospital.

Our family stayed for the whole weekend in the same hotel as many of our good friends. The highlight for the boys may have been just running down the halls with their good friends Lane and Annalee. We had fun at the race expo the day before the big run. We found a big blow up slide/obstacle course sponsored by a local boys and girls club and had a big time. Then we headed for the Dallas World Aquarium which was a major highlight for the kids. There were lots of birds and fish along with crocodiles, penguins, and sharks.

The day of the race dawned cold and rainy. The wind chill was in the upper 30s all day and actually got colder as the day went on. Christin ran with her good friend Laura Shuman after they trained together. Laura's husband Brandon went with me and the boys to meet the girls along the road to cheer them on. We saw them at mile 3, mile 6, and mile 12 and they looked great the whole race. The runners all did great and it was quite an accomplishment.

Enjoy the pics!
